Welcome!
When the fuel gauge in your car is showing “empty,” one thing is certain: you aren’t going anywhere. It’s pretty straight forward and obvious that in order to start the car you’ve got to put some fuel in the tank.
If you don’t know any better and you pour water into the tank, you compound the problem.
The car parked outside in your driveway may be filled to the brim with fuel and may be perfectly capable of taking you anywhere you wish to go but if you, the driver, are stuck on “empty,” you will find yourself immobilized or spinning your wheels and not going anywhere.
How do you know if you are stuck on empty?
If there’s no laughter, no excitement or anticipation for any pleasant surprises life might have to offer, no more dreams or the belief that you might accomplish anything to move you out of the rut you’ve been trapped in for days, months, even years, you are stuck on empty.
If you dread going to work or if you are unemployed and can’t find a job, or don’t even know what kind of job you’d even like to have and you spend all your waking hours wondering how you’re going to survive, you are stuck on empty.
If you lie awake, tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep at night because you can’t stop your mind from constant worry that you will never find a solution to all the problems facing you and feel paralyzed by your inability to take charge of your life, you are stuck on empty.
If you are constantly bombarded by critical messages in your head that tell you over and over again that you are a failure, you will never be happy, never have any friends, are unattractive, worthless and as useless as left over coffee grounds, you are stuck on empty.
This site is designed to help you refuel by providing you with the tools you need to turn the ignition key in your mind and drive forward with your life.
The important thing to bear in mind is that you must use the tools provided for them to be effective in your life. No one else can do this for you. If you leave the keys to the ignition on the seat beside you and don’t turn on the engine then no matter how much high octane fuel there is in the tank, you won’t go anywhere.
Moving forward in life requires that you are willing to work to change old patterns, old habits of thought and behavior. You must be convinced that what you’ve been doing is not working for you and that it takes conscious awareness, dedication, patience and persistence on your part to make the change you want to see happen in your life.
